MEET OUR TEAM

Our programmes are only taught by instructors certified by Gordon Training International. Classes consist of brief lectures, demonstrations, workbook exercises, role-playing, lots and lots of coaching, some homework, and small group discussions.

You will receive a set of programme materials, a participant certificate and a copy of Dr Gordon’s Credo. The schedule depends on the individual certified instructor.

Find an instructor below and contact her directly or please drop us a message via our contact us form or send an email to info@parents.co.za and we will put you in touch with a certified instructor near you.

There are schools, universities, colleges, etc. to prepare you for everything in today’s fast-paced world but very little prepares you for being a parent. When a friend told me about a P.E.T. course she had been on I was immediately interested. The course proved to be both practical and logical. The difference that I saw in my son week by week as we learned new skills made me decide then and there that I would want to share this with others. I am so excited to able to share these life-changing skills with you and walk the journey together to a more fulfilling and rewarding relationship with all those around you.

I believe if we wish for a better society, we need to realise that we can’t be passive about our parenting and family foundations anymore. The solution to our societal issues does not lie in another legislation but in intentional parenting, parenting support, and education. Parents are also starting to realise they need to be helped, educated and upskilled. Through P.E.T, I have an opportunity to play an active part in helping our society, upskilling parents with tools and skills that help them cope, thrive and build positive family structures as well as educate and raise awareness on the impact of parenting on child development and behaviour.

As a parent I realised that I wanted to raise my children differently – so, I enrolled myself in a P.E.T course. I decided to become a P.E.T. Instructor when I experienced the difference in my home. I also realised how many parents have a great need to improve their relationship with their children. I am passionate to assist other parents with the same desire and love to help and equip parents with the correct techniques and skills which will enable them to build mutually satisfying and quality relationships with their children. I truly believe that we can ensure a more resilient generation if we as parents do things differently. Your greatest legacy might just be the person you were chose to raise.

I am passionate to help and equip parents with the correct techniques and skills which will enable them to build mutually satisfying and quality relationships with their children. I have always thought parents have the most important and the most complicated job in the world, and unfortunately, they get very little or no training to assist them in this task.

My training and work as a narrative therapist in combination with my work as a P.E.T. instructor, as well as my experience as a maths lecturer, made me aware of the importance of language as a means of communication, but primarily as a relationship builder or breaker.  I am passionate about sharing these skills and insights in a bid to empower teachers and parents alike, enabling them to nurture responsible and confident young people.

I have been in the adult learning environment for more than 15 years. I am a qualified Occupational Directed Education Training and Development Practices, facilitator, and life coach, I've made it my mission to create moments where people can experience powerful 'AHA' moments.  When I first attended a P.E.T. workshop, the entire time spent was a series of great 'AHA' moments. I underwent a life-changing experience and felt empowered to unlock my true potential as a parent! I feel as if I've been preparing my entire life to live this purpose of giving parents power tools to develop emotionally intelligent children who will ultimately help change the world and make it a better place – one child, one family at a time.
