STEPS TO BECOMING A CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR

This Instructor Training Workshop is based on a “learning-by-doing” model.  It combines instruction in the core content and skills with exercises providing practice in dealing with group dynamics and the process of teaching and facilitating Gordon Training programmes.

Becoming a P.E.T. Instructor is a four-step process:

Step 1 – Complete a Parent Effectiveness Training course hosted by any of our certified P.E.T. instructors (click here for our upcoming course calendar).

Step 2 – Register and pay the Instructor Training Workshop fee*R12 000 (R1750 secures your spot and course materials) | You can arrange to pay a monthly instalment *Limited to three months.

Step 3 – Complete an Instructor Training Workshop.

Step 4 – Teach a qualifying P.E.T. Class and submit the participant evaluations to Parent & Educational Training CEO, Heidi Malan for review, final approval, and instructor certification.

As a fully qualified international instructor you agree to participate in continued training through meetings, workshops, and attend fellow instructor’s workshops on an ad hoc basis.
